Recycle your old equipment with Brentwood Communications

Environmental image

In the UK we currently recycle less than 3% of portable batteries, whereas Belgium recovers over 50%. We do not compare very well with other EU countries; in fact we have one of the worst records in Europe.

Recycling batteries is 10 times more expensive than sending them to landfill and up until now the Government has done little to encourage better recycling rates. In Belgium there is a small levy on every battery to cover the cost of their recycling, yet in Britain, producers are expected to pick up the cost of collection and recycling*.

Says James Miller, MD of Brentwood Communications: "As an ethical and responsible company we have been an official collection point for battery recycling for a number of years. However, at Brentwood Communications we go one step further and offer to take back all two way radio equipment at no cost. Whatever radio battery or radio equipment you have please return them to us or pop them in to our recycle can in our office and we will dispose of them for you at no cost to you. Together we can all make a difference."
