What is an In-Building Solution?
In the two-radio industry it means that your building or vehicle requires more than just an "out of the box" solution. Whether you are a school, hospital, corporate building, manufacturing plant or warehouse. Your two-way radios are critical means of communications.

What type of equipment do I need to make sure that my building has adequate radio coverage?
Our staff will cover the many options that are available. Sometimes a basic repeater (a device that receives a signal one frequency and retransmits it on another) with an omni-directional base antenna and standard coaxial cable is only required.
Why would I need radiating coaxial cable?
This special cable is typically used on projects such as in tall building with sub-basements or in wide multi-level buildings such as a school that has long corridors. Since this cable acts as an antenna source it enables your portable radios to have a shorter distance to travel. The end result of a properly designed radiating cable system should be that your portable-to-portable coverage offers clear communications when any portable radio tries to communicate with another within the building.
Why won't our cellular phones work in ourbbuilding?
This is becoming a more common problem with cellular phones becoming more that just a phone...they are walkie-talkies, email devices, appointment books, and document storage to name a few. The most common solution to this problem is a Bi-Directional Amplifier. Companies such as Kaval & EMR are two of the premier providers of this product. While these are not inexpensive solution, most of our clients are finding them to be a necessity. By working with our engineering staff we can provide a budgetary quote.
How can I transfer audio or video over IP?
Canopy is a solution that Motorola has helped bring to the marketplace. We will have more information on Canopy in the next few weeks.
