Tottenham Hotspur Football Club

Carling Cup Winners Tottenham Hotspur who are long term customers of Brentwood Communications required a Radio System to cater for their Security, Matchday, Maintenance and Turnstyle operations. Brentwood Communications were chosen to design, install and commission a brand new system to replace their 2 channel radio system.

After discussing all requirements with the Club's Management we recommended a 5 channel Trunk System which would give all team members the option of Group Calling, Individual Calling, Emergency Calls along with many other features. After liaising with OFCOM we obtained the relevent licences for Tottenham and our engineers then designed an Antenna system that would provide 100% coverage throughout the Stadium and surrounding areas. We installed a Team Simoco Xfin Trunk System which we knew was robust and reliable from previous installations and provided 155 Motorola GP644 and 22 Motorola GP688 Hand Portables for the Management.

Each Hand Portable Radio has a Covert 2 Wire Earpiece and Microphone which are required for Matchday as White Hart Lane is officially the 2nd nosiest Stadium in the Premiership.

Vopak Terminal London

Image of the Vopak Terminal in London

Vopak is the largest independent Oil storage company in the World. With a history of almost four centuries, Vopak is the global marketleader for the independent storage and handling of liquid oil products, chemicals, vegetable oils and liquefied gases. Vopak has terminals in the world's most strategic ports, with specialised facilities: product tanks, jetties, truck loading stations, pipelines and access to road and rail networks.

Vopak London required 100% Radio coverage throughout their Terminal which includes 125 steel storage tanks and several buildings including labarotories and offices. After discussions with the Management and Health and Safety team BCL were chosen to design, supply and install a 3 channel Repeater system with Antenna combining equipment. The Hand Portables needed to be ATEX approved because of the potentially explosive chemicals and gases on site. Icom IC-F61 ATEX Hand Portables were chosen mainly because of their size, weight and ability to show the user group name on the display.

The Sky Bar and Nightclub opened in December 2007 and is the Largest Sports Bar in the UK.

  • BOASTING 86 LARGE PLASMA SCREENS
  • STATE OF THE ART 21ST CENTURY BREATHTAKING SOUND AND LIGHT
  • AMAZING LIVE ENTERTAINMENT AND SPORTS PERSONALITIES / SUPERSTARS
  • EXCLUSIVE V.I.P AREA
  • 4 LICENCED BARS
  • RESTAURANT AREA
  • WORLD CLASS MUSIC AND VISUALS

Brentwood Communications were asked to design and supply a Radio system for the Sky Bar having been preferred supplier to the group for over 12 years. After discussing potential systems with the Management we decided that the system needed to be licensed so to have enough power to give complete Radio coverage throughout the building, therefore 40 Motorola CP040 4 channel Radios each using a 2 Wire Covert kit would be the best option for the UK's latest venue. The CP040 was chosen mainly because it is High Powered, robust and has excellent audio quality.

We applied for an On Site Private Business Radio license on behalf of Sky Bar and programmed the equipment accordingly. Upon delivery we set the Radios and Multi Chargers up for the Sky Bar and trained the Management, Door Staff and Bar Staff on using the equipment.

Since delivery and setup Sky Bar have been delighted with their new Radio System and have added more CP040s for on site Facilities.
