Passmores Academy in Harlow, Essex much famed for the antics of its students in the highly acclaimed TV series Educating Essex have now turned to radio.

Not commercial radio, but two way radio!  The school is very large and mobile phone coverage was patchy and unreliable.  The school needed reliable communications without having to worry about finding mobile phone coverage.  Brentwood Communications had the solution.  We recommended the Kenwood TK3301 license free two way radio.  This is a very robust little radio, with 16 channels and is water resistant, so it can be used in wet weather.  The radio also comes with a long life battery which means that staff don’t have to worry about changing the battery during the day.

Following a site test where the radios were evaluated for robustness and coverage, they were found to be successful – even in those hard to reach areas where mobile phones had previously failed.
